Quartet fue el tercer álbum de Ultravox con Midge Ure en la voz, después de dos álbumes de gran éxito, Vienna y Rage In Eden. Los álbumes anteriores fueron producidos por el productor alemán Conny Plank, para este lanzamiento confiaron en George Martin para que tomara el mando.

Con cuatro sencillos Top 40 del Reino Unido: “Reap The Wild Wind”, “We Came To Dance”, “Visions Inn Blue” y “Hymn”, galardonado con la plata. Esta nueva mezcla estéreo de 2023 ha sido realizada por el reconocido músico y productor Steven Wilson, y sus mezclas instrumentales del álbum se incluyen aquí, exclusivamente con este lanzamiento de RSD Black Friday.
